Recovery Control Assessment

If you run several agencies and law firms, you already know the spreadsheet tax. The Assessment maps your network and your data, finds the oversight gaps, and builds the business case for fixing them on your own numbers.

The DebtNext Recovery Control Assessment is for creditors that place accounts with several collection agencies and law firms. It maps your vendors and data, sizes your reconciliation burden, finds governance gaps and decision delays, designs an implementation and builds a quantified business case on your own data. It takes about 6 weeks.

Why run it

With 3 agencies and 2 law firms, every month brings 5 remittance files in 5 formats, recalls sent by email, and a scorecard someone rebuilds in a spreadsheet. When an examiner, an auditor or your own board asks how you oversee the network, the answer takes weeks to assemble.

The Assessment shows where that time goes and what it would take to fix, before you buy anything.

What you get

  • Vendor and data map

Every agency, law firm and specialist in your network, which accounts each holds, and how placement, recall, payment and reporting data moves between you.

  • Reconciliation burden

The hours and steps your team spends matching what each vendor remits against what it reports.

  • Governance gaps

The oversight records you'd need to show an examiner or auditor, set against the records you can produce today.

  • Decision delays

How long it takes to go from vendor data to a placement, recall or reallocation decision.

  • Implementation design and business case

What an implementation would involve for your systems and vendors, and a business case built on the costs and volumes you gave us.

What we need from you

A list of your agencies, law firms and other recovery vendors, sample placement, remittance and reporting files from each, and your current oversight records, such as scorecards and audit summaries. Plan on 4 to 6 hours of interviews across recovery operations, vendor management, compliance and IT.

How long it takes

About 6 weeks from kickoff to the written readout.

Who runs it

A DebtNext solutions lead runs the interviews and the readout. A data analyst maps your files and reconciliation steps. A business case analyst builds the numbers with your finance team.

What happens to your data

An NDA is signed before any file moves. Files arrive by secure file transfer, are used only for the Assessment, and are returned or destroyed at the end, with written confirmation.
