LAKE FOREST, ILLINOIS – AUGUST 30, 2017:
Transworld Systems Inc. (TSI) – a leading analytics-enabled provider of accounts receivable management and loan servicing solutions – recently prevailed on summary judgment in an important case in the Northern District of Illinois in the case of Arora v. Transworld Systems Inc.
The court ruled that TSI had not violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) by calling a debtor’s cell phone with an automatic dialing system. TSI placed calls using LiveVox’s Human Call Initiator system, which is a human controlled and initiated dialing system that requires a person to manually initiate every call. The court ruled that TSI’s use of this technology does not constitute an autodialer and does not violate the TCPA.

We have made significant investments in our Compliance Management System and we intend to continue to vigorously defend ourselves against meritless litigation. We hope the ruling will help drive Washington to modernize the TCPA to address the mobile preferences of the modern consumer.”
